Al Roker follows low carb diet to maintain 150-pound weight loss

He compares those episodes to drug addiction.

“When you’re in the midst of it, whether an alcoholic or a drug addict, that secondary voice inside you is not loud enough. It almost feels like the “devil and angel” sitting on your shoulders, like in a sitcom.”

He hopes his book will help others choose to lose, whether it’s weight loss surgery, diet, exercise or a combination.
