Fitness and nutrition guru Ben Greenfield has become famous for his expertise in athleticism, in particular in the best diets for different purposes.Ben has authored a book that includes his views on ketogenic diets and the proper percentages of carbohydrates, fats and protein: “Beyond Training: Mastering Endurance, Health & Life.”
As part of his research on the topic, he noted that the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has been investigating ketogenic diets to improve soldiers’ performance. Ben notes that what he calls the “metabolic superiority of using fats as fuel” has been proven by research showing it provides significant benefits in aerobic power and efficiency.
Also the author of “Get-Fit Guy’s Guide to Achieving Your Ideal Body: A Workout Plan for Your Unique Shape (Quick & Dirty Tips),” Ben also is known for his podcasts. In a recent episode, he highlighted how both extreme athletes and busy executives can use ketogenic diets to power their lives.
