Considered by many to be the founder of the Paleo diet movement, Loren Cordain revealed how it works in an exclusive interview with the Examiner. He is the author of “The Paleo Answer: 7 Days to Lose Weight, Feel Great, Stay Young”.
Loren’s original guide to Paleo diets is entitled “The Paleo Diet: Lose Weight and Get Healthy by Eating the Foods You Were Designed to Eat,” and it’s sold more than 100,000 copies.
The biggest misconception about Paleo food plans: That they’re fads. Wrong. They’ve found a home among those who find Paleo diets help with weight loss, as well as those who use it as a way to help their autoimmune diseases. The DIOGENES trials published in the New England Journal of Medicine and Pediatrics showed that high protein, low glycemic load diets are the most effective diets in keeping weight off after weight loss in adults and preventing fat gain in children. These are the same diets whose nutritional characteristics emulate those of our hunter gatherer ancestors.”
